Position Overview
Got Ductless (gotductless.com) is seeking an experienced Mini-Split Sales Associate to assist customers with selecting and designing ductless HVAC systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on or industry experience with mini-split installation, service, distribution, or wholesale and can turn customer needs into accurate equipment recommendations.
This position may be fully remote for candidates outside the Baltimore area. Candidates located near Baltimore, Maryland, will work a hybrid schedule with some time in the office.
Responsibilities
- Assist homeowners, contractors, and other customers by phone, email, and online channels.
- Recommend mini-split and ductless HVAC equipment based on customer needs, property details, and project requirements.
- Create mini-split system designs, including equipment selection, zone configuration, and basic sizing.
- Prepare quotes and follow up with customers throughout the sales process.
- Explain product features, installation requirements, accessories, warranties, and available options.
- Review project information for accuracy before orders are finalized.
- Build strong customer relationships through responsive and professional service.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, fulfillment, and management teams.
- Maintain accurate customer notes, quotes, and sales records.
- Stay current on mini-split products, applications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Help resolve product-selection and order-related questions.
Qualifications
- Professional mini-split experience in installation, service, sales, wholesale, distribution, technical support, or a related HVAC role.
- Ability to develop mini-split designs and recommend appropriate system configurations.
- Working knowledge of single-zone and multi-zone ductless systems.
- Previous sales experience, preferably in HVAC or another technical industry.
- Strong customer service, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable discussing technical products with both contractors and homeowners.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Comfortable using computers, email, online sales platforms, and customer-management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with leading mini-split brands such as Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, or similar manufacturers.
- Familiarity with heat-loss and heat-gain principles, equipment sizing, line-set requirements, and electrical specifications.
- Experience creating HVAC estimates or equipment proposals.
- Existing knowledge of e-commerce or wholesale HVAC sales.
Work Arrangement
- Outside the Baltimore area: Fully remote.
- Baltimore-area candidates: Hybrid schedule with partial in-office work.
- Reliable internet service and a professional remote workspace are required for remote employees.
