Elmar Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installation Technician to join our growing team in Timonium, Maryland. At Elmar, we specialize in residential heating and cooling solutions, including conventional HVAC systems, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, boilers, indoor air quality products, and tankless water heaters. What You'll Do
- Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish
- Install conventional forced-air heating and cooling systems
- Install ductless mini-split systems (single and multi-zone)
- Install heat pumps and air handlers
- Install and replace gas furnaces
- Perform equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and quality checks
- Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and local codes
- Mentor and guide installation helpers and junior technicians
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process
- Represent Elmar Heating & Cooling with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 7 years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Extensive experience installing:
- Conventional HVAC systems
- Ductless mini-split systems
- Heat pumps
- Gas furnaces
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and installation skills
- Ability to read installation manuals and wiring diagrams
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors
Preferred
- Boiler installation experience
- Tankless water heater experience
- Light commercial HVAC experience
